RELEASE DAY BLITZ & REVIEW ❤ Consensual by Livia Jamerlan

Book Details:

Title: Consensual (Consensual Series Book #1)

Author: Livia Jamerlan

Genre: Contemporary Erotic Romance

Release Day: August 18th 2014

Braelynn Wolf is focused on two things: work and law school.

That is how she survives.
That is how she’ll make a difference.

Until she meets HIM.

Peyton Haas is sexy, dangerous, and forbidden. The defense attorney on Braelynn’s first legal case is the only man who can cloud her judgment. Unable to stay away, she finds herself lying to everyone around her so she can spend time with the man who makes her feel things she never felt before—things she never dreamed possible.

With the legal case hanging on a thread, can Braelynn ignore the relationship she has built with Peyton?

Or will she succumb to the man who has the power to throw away her future?

Consensual is positively one of my best reads of 2014! And I believe that once you read it will be one of yours too. Livia Jamerlan wrote an amazing story with well-developed characters, steamy sex scenes and just enough drama that you want to read more.

The prologue grabbed me, pulled me in and the chapters that follow held me tightly in its grasps, never letting go. Never. Even after the story ended I wanted more.  Yes, this is a series so be prepared that the book doesn’t have a complete happy ending but know that the ending does signify a change in Brealyn and Haas’s relationship.

I liked Brealyn’s determination and that she realized that a relationship with Haas would be detrimental to her career as he is opposing counsel on a case that the law firm she interns at is handling. She makes attempts at avoiding him, but it’s pointless because Haas is not one to be avoided.

“…Let me rephrase that for you, doll. I always get what I want. And I want you and this sweet pussy—which I know is ready for me. Now let’s find out if I’m right…”

I liked Peyton the passionate lover, but I loved Haas the dirty dominant. He knows what he wants and he is determined to get it. It was easy to see that his attraction to Braelynn just wasn’t physical, he felt something for her from that first meeting and it was more evident when he realized that he would see her again.

Livia wrote THE BEST sex scenes. Sometimes the sex overpowers the storyline but that didn’t happen here, Braelynn and Haas’s relationship included just the right amount of sex as to not draw attention from the other things happening in the story. And it’s also worth pointing out that there was not an overuse of the F-work, thank the gods for that.

I’m so ready to read the next book in this series, but I have to wait a few months before I can and that's ok. In the meantime, I am rating Consensual with 5 stars. Livia Jamerlan is an author on the move and if the remaining books in this series are anything like the first, I foresee Ms. Jamerlan skipping to the top of many review lists.

Livia Jamerlan is the author of Divided. She is also a hopeless romantic who is always looking for her next love story to pop in her head. Though Livia kept a journal throughout her early life, she never thought about pursuing a career in writing. She always used it as form of therapy, pouring her heart out into words. It wasn’t until a story developed in her head that she decided maybe she could write a book. At first it was just an escape from reality, but now she uses it as a power to put all her feelings, hopes, and fears on paper. Deciding it was time to tell her story, she began to write. With each passing day the story grew, characters were formed, and what seemed like a hobby at first has now become a passion for Livia.

She is a New Jersey Native who loves spending time with her husband and two dogs Buddy and Daisy. When she is not writing or hiding behind her Kindle, you can find her with outside, gardening, at a local shopping center enjoying some retail therapy, or enjoy a pepperoni pizza.

I skimmed my thumb over the skin of her neck. “I’m very available and want nothing more than to fuck you.”

I brought my hand to the hem of her skirt, lifting it slowly. I felt the edge of her stocking attached to a garter, and my cock twitched as I pushed up against her, bringing my lips to her ear. “Come back to my place, Lynn, wearing nothing but these.” I pulled on the elastic, letting it smack against her smooth skin.

“Haas, I can’t. We can’t.”

“You remember what I told you, don’t you? I always get what I want.” I pushed her skirt higher, sliding my finger across her lace thong. “I can be very persuasive.” The small whimper that escaped her throat only enticed me more. “I promise to make this pussy pulse with pleasure.” I slid my finger back and forth against the delicate material. “If you want, I can take you right here.”

“Please, don’t—”

I brought my lips to hers and she responded, allowing me in. Her tongue wrestled mine as I ground my cock against her abdomen. She melted in my hands, letting me guide her body how I wanted. I explored her mouth, imagining what it would be like to have my cock shoved between her soft, plump lips.

As I moved my hand to pull her panties, the emergency bell began to ring, disrupting us. Reaching over, I released the brake and pressed the fifth floor button as I pulled away from her. Intoxicating. That’s what she was. Her eyes, her smell, her hair, her skin. I fixed my erection and looked over at her.

“You know where to find me.”
