 Everything was covered with trees and forest, but then we got a view of a mansion.

It looked like a castle, and my eyes couldn’t help but go wide. Whose was this?
And then the front door opened, and I jerked forward in the seat. My seatbelt tightened and I was shoved back, but I couldn’t look away. I couldn’t close my mouth. Everything stopped in that moment.

When we slid to a stop and the lawyers got out of the car, I was slower. My body had trouble moving and my legs were stiff. My arms shook and my heart raced as I pulled myself up outside the car. I had to hold onto it or I would’ve fallen. I heard my knees knocking against each other. I couldn’t feel them, but I heard them.

“Hello, Sheldon.”

The man before me was in his forties. He was dressed in a black business suit, which fit him like a glove, and he gazed back at me. He waited for my reaction. There were no words.

“Dad?”

I didn't begin writing until after undergraduate college. There'd been storylines and characters in my head all my life, but it came to a boiling point one day and I HAD to get them out of me. So the computer was booted up and I FINALLY felt it click. Writing is what I needed to do. After that, I had to teach myself how to write. I can't blame my teachers for not teaching me all those years in school. It was my fault. I was one of the students that was wishing I was anywhere but at school! So after that day, it took me lots of work until I was able to put together something that resembled a novel. I'm hoping I got it right since someone must be reading this profile! Single is a very well written and humorous novella, that left me wanting to know how Roxanne’s story ends. It’s the story of a girl attempting to keep her professional life separate from her personal life but when the two intertwine, it has the power to destroy her.

Roxanne isn’t looking for Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now; she’s on the hunt for Mr. Do Me Right. You know, that session that you can still feel days later. That one guy you can call that you know will get you off. Yeah him! So on a whim with her best friend they visit a private swingers club and that’s where we meet Mr. Bartender, who is more than what he appears to be.

I was hoping to love the start of this series, but I walked away just liking it. I walked away from it twice before finishing it. As I stated earlier, it is a well-written story with very good sex scenes, but there was something missing. Lyra Parrish gives us a good start to this series earning 3.5 hearts.

 

Lyra Parish loves to write, travel, and sing obnoxiously loud at the top of her lungs in the shower. Sweet love stories (along with the dirty ones) make her gush. She is a firm believer that a person can never have too many cats, cups of coffee, or read too many happily ever afters. When she isn't busy writing, she can be found sipping various beverages from her non-alcoholic drink buffet, pimp slapping excel spreadsheets, or riding her bike. Lyra currently resides in Texas with her glass blowing, guitar playing hubby and black cat.

When that’s the first sentence in the story, you’re reading what are your expectations? Well, I expect to be scorching, dirty and interesting, and that’s exactly what I got.

Nolan tells us the story of his obsession and how he comes to own her. He is infatuated with Chloe from the first moment he laid eyes on her.  He wants her not just physically, but in every way possible. And he does.

Justified is a very short and dirty story, and I enjoyed every minute of it. There was a couple of time that the story felt a little disconnected, but the hot sex scenes made up for that. Justified is the first novella in the Alfha Law Firm series, and I can’t wait to read the others!!!
