This is the conclusion to Marcus and Katia's story. We are in the aftermath of Katia finding out the truth about her marriage. She left after Marcus had confirmed the details of his grandfather's will then pushed her away. But unknowingly Katia left carrying a piece of Marcus with her.
The story bounces between the past and present and told from both Katia and Marcus's point of view. Marcus is spiraling and losing focus while Katia is focused but losing ground, both in their own personal hell. But after a year and dealing with her mother's illness Katia decides it's time to divorce Marcus.
Bella does a good job of concluding the tragedy that is Marcus and Katia but for me it wasn't complete. I especially didn't like ending. I understand the concept of a new beginning, but this seemed to be unrealistic. I would positively recommend book one with no hesitation and would recommend book two only so that you know how the story ends.
