BOOK REVIEW ❤ Arrow's Hell by Chantal Fernando

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I’m going to say this book was an ok read that could have been so much better. We know from book one that Arrow is having a hard time dealing with Mary’s death. He’s carrying a lot of guilt because of how he treated her and not wanting to make her his Ol’ Lady. But early in the book he recognizes his reaction to Anna but continually denies himself and his method of refusing her advances are at time cruel.

I was not at all impressed with Anna’s character. To be honest, I couldn’t relate to her at all. She came across as a badass 17-year-old stuck in the life of a 25-year-old Ph. D student. Anna’s immaturity was definitely displayed in her hesitation at befriending the First Lady of the MC. There’s a hierarchy in any social group and to be standoffish towards the HBIC is just… (shudders) Eventually, Anna got her act together but that shouldn’t have been an issue.

Overall, I would recommend reading this book if you read the first book and want to continue the story. I found myself wanting to know more about Tracker & Lana than wanting to know how Anna and Arrow ended. Luckily I won't have to wait long because book 3 is to be released in August, according to GR.

I received as an ARC courtesy of Gallery Books via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
