MY REVIEW
Tillie Cole is definitely one of my favorite authors. I’ve loved everything she’s ever written, and I have not been disappointed until now. Because Deep Redemption, for me, fell flat. Although the story is captivating, the romance between Rider and Harmony was nonexistent. The story went from meeting to love too quickly for my taste.
Cain’s story picks up where we left him in Souls Unfractured, dealing with his brother’s betrayal. At this point in the story, I am already sympathetic to Cain’s plight. He doesn’t fit in anywhere. Not in the MC due to his dishonesty and not in the cult because it deceived him. But Cain’s Redemption is found in love.
I did not feel a connection to Harmony. She never felt "real" to me, and I found myself skimming her storytelling. Her story is much like the other women that came to the Hangman, which made her character too familiar. But once Harmony's truth is revealed, I did became more invested in the ending of her story.
In my opinion, there is not a lot of romance in this recent Hangman story, and the drama doesn't happen until near the end. This book indeed opens the door to the next book in the series and although I am not a huge fan of this one I will read the next.

Tillie Cole hails from a small
town in the North-East of England. She grew up on a farm with her English
mother, Scottish father and older sister and a multitude of rescue animals. As
soon as she could, Tillie left her rural roots for the bright lights of the big
city.
After graduating from Newcastle
University with a BA Hons in Religious Studies, Tillie followed her
Professional Rugby player husband around the world for a decade, becoming a
teacher in between and thoroughly enjoyed teaching High School students Social
Studies before putting pen to paper, and finishing her first novel.
Tillie has now settled in Austin,
Texas, where she is finally able to sit down and write, throwing herself into
fantasy worlds and the fabulous minds of her characters.
