★•**•★HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!★•**•★

2014 has been an amazing year. When I made the decision to start a book blog, I wasn't sure of what I was getting into. I knew I wanted to share the books I discovered with other readers, but I also wanted to meet others that share my love of romance novels. I have met some incredible bloggers and have had the pleasure of working with amazing authors, but there are always improvements to be made.  These are my 2015 Blog Goals.

  1. Review more of the books I read.  I read 2-3 books in a day and though I keep track of what I read on Goodreads I have seldom left reviews and ratings. I have only reviewed books that have been part of a tour, but not the books I read on my own. So I want to improve this.
  2. Complete my Favorites page or remove it. I have a link on the blog for my favorite Books and Blogs but have left it incomplete. I need to decide if I want to keep it and then add to it or Remove the link completely.
  3. Improve my Facebook presence. With the changes that Facebook, it is making it's getting harder and harder to get interaction from Readers. I have 700+ page likes but get less than 5% of my post seen and 0% interaction and because of this I hardly post to Facebook. I want this to change. I am going to become more social on my social network. My Facebook posts auto posts to twitter so I hope that I can gain more followers and interaction by increasing my presence.
  4. Grow my Newsletter subscribers. Yes, I have a newsletter!! It’s scheduled to be emailed daily if there are blog posts. But I have 0 subscribers to my newsletter. In the beginning, I didn’t push signups but I believe that if I get my reviews and other stuff in more hands (or emails) my blog views and blog interactions will increase.
  5. Participate consistently in Blog Meme’s. I started participating in Waiting on Wednesday hosted by Breaking the Spine but I started to slack off on participating. This meme proved to be the best at increasing my page views! I want to go back to this. There aren’t but so many books I’m waiting to be published, but I can maybe instead of every Wednesday participate in every other Wednesday.  I also want to start participating  in Music Mondays and a few others.
  6. Blog Consistently. When I initially started blogging I was at a loss for content. So I started signing up for Blog Tours, Cover Reveals, Release Blitz and eventually my blog became nothing more than these posts. I posted very little reviews during that time. This needs to change. I NEED to start posting more original content so that people will want to view my blog, subscribe to my newsletter or even view and interact on my Fan Page. So I will become more conscious of and limit the number of promos posted while increasing the number of reviews.
  7. Network, Network, Network. It is important in this blogging world that you make friends be it readers, other bloggers, and authors; you need a support system. My ultimate goal to be more “friendly” in the Book World. I currently have a few bloggers that I am “friendly with but not blog BFFs. I want a blog BFF!!! I also want to have more contact with authors! I haven’t signed up for any Signing yet, but I do have a few on my list that I want to go to.
  8. Give away more! In the first few months of blogging, I did a couple of giveaways but I have reduced that to zero! It didn’t seem worth it because I didn’t get the participation I wanted. But the giveaways are not about me the blogger, it's about sharing a book that I read and loved with another reader. So I will have exclusive giveaways for my newsletter subscribers and some flash-giveaways for Twitter followers and Facebook Fans.
These are just a few goals of mine for the new year! I will need to remind myself to do a “self-check” in a few months just to ensure I am on task!

Thanks again for reading and have a HAPPY AND SAFE NEW YEAR!!!
